Northern Dales Farmers Markets

Our policy on traders for the Northern Dales Farmers Markets is as follows :-
Produce should be locally grown or produced. 'Local' means within 50 miles of the market. All producers must come from within 100 miles of the market.
1. Where there is space at the market, producers within the local area will receive preference.
2. Stalls must be staffed by someone who is directly involved in growing, raising or producing the goods on sale.
3. No bought- in produce may be resold without further processing. Wherever possible, processed goods should contain local ingredients ( at least 10%)
4. Wherever possible genetically modified produce should be avoided.
5. All stallholders must comply with current Trading Standard and Environmental Health requirements.
6. Producers must maintain Public, Employee and Products Liability Insurance.
7. Produce should be well displayed and presented,; only good quality products and wholesome foods should be sold
8. If there are too many producers offering the same product then preference will be given to those nearest to the Market.
